Poem: Lies

Don’t try to lie

And hence deny

The truth about us.

You break and sway

Pretending you’re ok

And you twist the truth

Jade it

Fade it

Don’t try to revive

The hurt in me

To set you free

To let you be

And try without me.

You never loved me

Why do you lie?

To hold me down

To make your sins

Turn upside down

I’m past that

And you can’t lie

To the sky

Or to me

Both we

Know you.
